Every dead palestinian is one less suicide bomber

by @ 5:09 am. Filed under Dear Diary, Politics

This is in regards to the recent bombing of the Gaza strip by the Israelis. The fucking Palestinians are crying foul and begging the world community to cajole the Jewish state into stopping it. I have a better idea, why don’t you fucking ask your own fucking lunatics to stop shelling the Israeli villages and stop killing innocent Israeli citizens. It seems to me like it is a better and easier way of stopping the Israelis. There is a bunch of bastards here in Sydney, where I live, that are organizing a protest against the bombings. Howabout doing something for the hundreds of Indians that were killed by the Islamic militants just a little while ago. I didn’t see anyone protesting that.

I may come off as being a racist and heartless man, but I think every single dead Palesitinan is a boon to the world. You kill a Palestinian woman, there is less chance of an offspring that grows up to be a suicide bomber, you kill a teenager, you nuetralise a ticking timebomb. And you take down the leadership, god bless you, you have saved a hundred innocent lives. So, go for it Israel. Speak to the barbarians in the language they understand, take the war to their homes and their training grounds. Wreak havoc among their ranks, and make them pay dearly for their folly of messing with you. Your courage and your guts, your single minded dedication towards protecting your citizens makes me wish I were born a Jew, an Israeli Jew. I am a Hindu, and I used to be proud of that fact. I am Indian, and I used to be proud of that too. But the past decade of consistent of blood letting in India, especially of the Hindu blood, and the non-existent responses from my country’s leadership makes me sad and ashamed of being a citizen of that country. One day, my country’s leadership will wake up to the dangers of letting this go on, but as of today, the corrupt politicians in charge of my mother land are too busy counting their ill-gotten wealth and absolutely oblivious to the pain and suffering that’s been inflicted on the people. Moments like these give us a chance to compare and contrast the leaderships around the world, and it makes my heart sink that my leaders are such spine-less eunuchs. So god willing, I am born a jew in another life, or even better, a powerful Hindu, so I can take the war to the enemy and makes the scumbag Muslims that try to hurt my people, shudder in their dreams even at the thought of my country.

So I say this again, Long Live Israel, Long live the Jewish state. You have every right to defend your borders against the murderous thugs that reside Palestine. You better keep the Palestinians busy counting their dead and burying them, so they don’t have the time to plot the killings of your citizens. Shalom.

A time to ostracise Pakistan Part 1

by @ 7:54 pm. Filed under Uncategorized

It has been almost three weeks since the horrendous attacks on innocent people in Mumbai, and my heart is still aching from the sorrows of that day. Even though I haven’t lost anyone directly related to me, the sheer brutality and the ruthless cruelty of the attack made my blood boil with anger and frustration, my heart ache with sadness and my mind hurt with worry about the future of my beloved country. A country that is by far the most tolerant on record against other religions, which has embedded the word secular into its constitution and a country where almost every religion in the world is freely practiced and embraced by the local peoples. A country which has not shown aggression towards any other country in its brief history as a unified nation. The only fault of the people of this nation, whose blood is spilled everyday on its streets, whose lives are shattered mindlessly every single day, is that they live in a country which is the target of Islamic fundamentalists. A growing sense of economic prosperity in India, and the clout that comes with it, has made it particularly enviable to the 10th century barbarians that now inhabit most of the Muslim world, and especially the tribal warlords that call themselves the warriors of God. Some God he is, one that encourages the coldblooded killings of infant babies and pregnant women, and innocent unarmed men whose only fault is to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. The bastards that can’t fight a traditional battle against a uniformed soldier, resort to killing the ones that are walking on the streets minding their business. And then they call themselves holy warriors, whose valor is treated with a gift of virgins in their martyrdom. And the state of Pakistan, not only tolerates these fundamentalist animals, but actively supports them and nurtures them. And most, not all by any means, but most of the islamic world supports these barbarians, at least secretly, because they all believe that they are dictated by their God to kill the infidels( read children, women and other unarmed civilians).

Western Media
For someone from the western world that is probably reading about this incident for the first time, let me bring you up to speed. Contrary to what your news media tells you, this is nothing new to India. It has become a routine for us in India to lose a hundred people here and a hundred people there on a routine basis. It has come to a point that we just count the bodies, wash the blood off the streets and forget the names of the dead even before their bodies are completely burnt in the pyre. (Yeah, we do burn our dead, a purifying act like no other to clean the soul of its material sins). The American news media doesn’t give a shit about people living outside its borders, and particular the brown skinned ones living in a continent far away from their own. Yes, they run round the clock coverage about a white suburban girl gone missing from her prom, and run gut wrenching stories about how their parents are begging for her return. It doesn’t matter that most of the times, the girls in case are just running away from their abusive parents, but they are front page news and command 24/7 updates on cable news channels. However, a hundred people dead in a series of bomb blasts in a city in India, bah. Who cares.
Let me give you an example of how sorry the state of affairs is in this regard. Read my post about a terrible attack on the city of Hyderabad, the capital of my home state in India. Hyd bomb blasts . I was in the US when this happened and I found out about it on a website of an Indian news outlet. So I switched my TV on to get updates about it and to my dismay not one of the news channels ran a story on it. They didn’t even mention this once in their newscast, not once. To say that I am appalled would be an understatement, and to add insult to injury, they ran a story about a balloon accident in Canada in which a man was killed, literally 50 times in one day. That’s CNN for you. However, the esteemed BBC refuses to call the terrorists with that name. They claim that it implies a judgement that the killers are terrorists, while in actuality they are only killers. Mother fucking BBC bastards!! Now those very channels are running live telecast of the events as they unfolded. They have “experts” discussing the issue and advising Indians to be more accommodative of the Muslims, and what not. They have run stories almost daily for weeks after the attacks. I wonder where this sudden love for Indians came from. I wonder how the attacks on India became “news-worthy” for the Americans in general and American Media in particular. How did they go from “no mention” to 24/7 coverage. .I wonder why.

I think I know why. This time around, its not just the Indian blood anymore. Its not the poor middle class Indian man on his way home from work thats killed. Its not just the 12 year old child going to play cricket with his friends. Its the American millionaire trying to close a business deal with a company in India. Its a Hollywood B-grade star trying her luck with Bollywood and narrowly escaped death. How cruel of the terrorists. Oh my, oh my. How cruel of them indeed? How dare they spill the blood of a white man, merely trying to add to his millions. How dare they kill the undercover CIA people spying on the Indians. This has to be made a big issue of. Lets keep the cameras rolling. Lets keep the opinions pouring. And while we are at it, lets have assoles like Zakaria lecture Indian Hindus about tolerance towards muslims. Lets teach the Indians that they are only to blame every time the Muslims get angry and commit mass murder. Hey after all, they must have some valid reason to kill children and women. Why do you Indians have to upset them. Why don’t you all just bend over as a nation and let the desolate Pakistani muslims masquerading as Indians fuck you in the ass. Is it too much to ask for?

American Leadership
So, now you probably know that I am deeply skeptical of the “outpouring” of sympathy and condolences for the people of India coming from the US. Besides the common public, the leadership of America seems to peeved at the Pakistanis this time around. Not only did they lose some of their citizens, they also lost their senior CIA people, and a valuable cover was blown. I can imagine the frustration going on in the minds of the CIA bosses about how their friends at the ISI ( Pakistan’s sorry excuse of an intelligence agency. The cause of most sorrow in the world today) have fucked them again. “I thought we had an agreement, we don’t tell the Indians about what we know about them and they leave our assets in the region alone. Why don’t they stick to their end of the deal. Let’s have Condi give them an earful”. When a country’s policies are so incoherent and non-standard, as to distinguish between forms of terrors and looking away as long as their own interests are not affected, is a recipe for disaster. It will only be a little while before the little snake that you ignored and pushed away into other people’s backyard will return with a vengeance and kill your people. Condoleeza Rice’s outrage, though welcomed by many Indians in this context, was not completely truthful in the sense it wouldn’t have occured if it were only Indians that were dead. The previous attacks in the past few years and their lukewarm response over them was a clear indicator of it.

Indian Elite, AKA cricket players/bollywood/Industry captains
India’s elite are by far the worst people when it comes to crime and terrorism. The movie stars of the Hindi industry have publicly acknowledged relations with the now infamous Dawood Ibrahim. They have borrowed money from his crime syndicate to make movies, they have laundered his dirty money showing it as profits from their utter flop movies, they have given stage performances for him and his wealthy middle eastern associates in Sharjah and Dubai. In essence, they have actively participated in the growth of a criminal empire, knowing full well that the money from that enterprise is funding terroristic activities against India. The reason for their callousness is that they are immune from such activity. They are protected by the boss himself, and as long as they are in his good books, they and their families are safe. The supreme irony being, they have made umpteen number of patriotic movies that captured the imagination of the common man in India, emptying his pockets in the form of box office collections, and sending that very money to the mills of terrorism that would one day strike the very country they live in. How fucking ridiculous? The same goes with the cricket players. They were only too happy to oblige the don, and they are not hesitant to betray their nation by fixing the matches for the don’s betting wing. No names have been named, no one has been actually punished, but its common knowledge that most of the Indian has participated in some form of fixing, all for that mafia. Apart from the obvious betrayal of their countrymen, they have inadvertently funded the cash operations for a fledgling terrorist group, that would one day have the country in its grips. The captains of Industry, one would think, would have a vested interest in the security of the nation. A stable country is obviously good for business and therefore it is in the best interest for the businessmen to support anti-terrorism efforts. Bah. Its cheaper for them to buy protection from the Dons instead. Hey, if you have to shell out a few million a year to the bad guys, well, its the cost of doing business I suppose. It doesn’t matter that these Dons are sending this money to the ISI, and the countless madarasas it is running. It doesn’t matter that common man is dying everyday in the hands of these terrorists whose well toned muscles and shining AK-47s have been funded by their money. As long as his business interests are protected, they don’t seem to care if the rest of the populace goes to hell.
Why then, one wonders, are they now screaming foul at this latest installment of butchery? Why are they raising their voices and yelling jingoisitc slogans at the top of their lungs. Why are the Sha rukh Khans and Amir Khans now suddenly patriotic? Why are the ones that once played ball with Dawood Ibrahim, find themselves condemning these killings?
I will tell you why. This time the terrorists attacked one of their hangouts. Where they bring their wives and girlfriends to wine and dine. Where they celebrate their kid’s birthday parties away from the prying eyes of the cheap common man. This is where they come to have a drink, to forget the stresses of evading taxes on the millions they make. If they can’t relax in peace, when one of their own havens is attacked, all bets are off. How dare the terrorists do that. They have a million public places to attack, they have the metro transit system to destroy, and they have the middle class restaurants where they could have done more damage due to the swelling crowds. But no, they had to attack their safe havens. Now they have taken it too far. Now they have touched a raw nerve. Now, they have shocked the dormant patriotic tiger in them that was asleep for all these years. Now I am going to rally against these brutes, now I am going to condemn these killings. Such Hypocritical bastards. Such base vile parasites that suck the living blood out of the common Indian. They make me sick. Sunil Gavaskar, a once prominent cricket player and now a sorry excuse for a human being, is so worried that an upcoming cricket series with Pakistan would be derailed because of the tensions, says that life should move on. We should not let politics interfere with sports. A note for you bastard, if you are reading this. Sports should be between civilized nations. One can not play sports with people that go home and hurl bombs at you. And if you are so worried about all the money you would be losing on commentating engagements, give me your address and I will send you a share of my paycheck. you bloodsucking bastard. And all those team owners of the IPL league, if you continue to employ Pakistani cricketers and the ex-cricketers as commentators, the Indian public will not forgive you.

Coming up…Indian politics, Indian public and Pakistan.

Crude prices sinking deep into the abyss

by @ 6:06 pm. Filed under Economics, Stock Markets, Uncategorized

An ironic twist of fate in the commodities market is that the one commodity that shot up in price way too high and setup this evil chain of events of credit unwinding, has ended up being the worst hit by that very chain of events. There are a good number of experts that claim that even though the high gas prices were not the true cause for the state of the economy now, they certainly acted as a catalyst in speeding up the impending disaster. What would have been a slow and painful death of the ARM mortgage market, has been turned into an outright massacre, as the struggling sub-prime homeowner was further squeezed by high gasoline prices and increased cost of living that was a direct result of those prices. And then the downward spiral of defaults-foreclosures-plunging property prices-further defaults ensued.
Now, things have come full circle and the economy officially in recession according to Uncle Bernanke( Duh!!) and the fears that unlike the previous ones, this recession is here to stay, the outlook for fuel demand has suddenly become bleak. The recession this time around is different from the previous ones because of the fact that it has been artificially deferred by the US Fed and the central banks around the globe for so long, that the pent up economic forces have eventually exploded and destroyed the natural correcting factors. Also, this recession is truly global, in the sense that once non-participants in the world economic scenarios, like India and China, have now become powerful participants and they are also being effected by the now tangled and interconnected global economy. The two countries that were once touted as the reason to believe in an unending run up in commodity prices, now seem to have come to swallow the bitter reality on the ground: Their stellar growth in the past decade and half is too much too soon, and is artificial than natural. These economies are coming to a more normal growth rates, if not even a temporary halt, and as such, would see massive declines in their energy consumptions. All this means, the demand growth projections made by several economists and traders will be severely revised and hence the crude prices would be adjusted to the down side. I predicted this effect, just like I predicted the credit meltdown several years ago. I actually wrote that crude prices would hit 70s mid 2009. Apparently, the de-leveraging going on now in the markets, has actually accelerated the declines and we got to those prices mid October, 2008.
Read my prediction

Is this all bad news, one might ask. The answer is not necessarily an yes or no. One good thing that would come out of deleveraging in the finance markets is that hedge funds, and trading companies would not be able to run up the commodity prices( or even stock prices) forever. This would bring the “demand-supply” concept back into the pricing and that would be a healthy way to price commodities. The crude prices would eventually start to rise again, but would be at a much healthy rate that would not hurt the world economy. We haven’t learned the lessons from the Asian market crash of 1997, that caused the crude to sink to under 10 USD a gallon. Hopefully, we will learn that lesson now.

Shalimar Movies and Spices.

by @ 11:15 pm. Filed under Dear Diary, Indian Recipes

If you are living in the Sydney metropolitan area and are looking for a decent Indian grocery store, you should check out “Shalimar movies and spices” on Crown street. We stumbled upon this place while strolling after a dinner at the Nepalese Kitchen, and very pleasantly surprised at the range of collection. The selling point for us was that it is almost walking distance from where we live( Castlereagh street in CBD) and we don’t have to catch a train to the suburbs every time we run out of Rice or Chicken Masala powder. They have Priya pickles from Andhra pradesh, TN, and some other states. Their biryani selection is complete that you get everything you need including biryani powder, leaves, seeds etc. They also have snacks from India including Maggie, fruit juices like Frooti, and the regular namkeen stuff.
The DVD collection is mostly Hindi, but there are also a bunch of regional languages as well.
The shop owner is a very pleasant Nepalese gentleman, but he is very old school that he doesn’t even know what a website is. So, I hacked up a basic website for him as a stop gap while I build him a decent one.

Visit site

Here is the address.

642 crown street
Surry Hills
Sydney 2010

Delayed bailout, excercise in futility

by @ 6:35 pm. Filed under Dear Diary, Economics, Politics

There is a story that we were told in India when we were kids.

A thief is caught in the act and is proven guilty in a court. The kings declares that he has two punishment options for him. One is take 100 lashes on his body, the other is to eat 100 raw chillies. The thief choses to eat chillies, but after eating about 5 of them, starts screaming and asks for his punishment to be changed to lashes. Soon after he gets 5 lashes, he starts screaming again and begs to go back to eating chillies. The poor guys goes back and forth and ends up eating 100 chillies and getting 95 lashes.

By not voting on the bill, the congress has managed to Fuck up the financial markets, and I am pretty sure they will vote for the bill , this weekend. So, they end up spending the money anyway, and also fucking up the economy.

PS:- I personally don’t like the bail out. “You made the mess, you better clean it.”

McCain Snubs, Olbermann Subs…Letterman Drubs

by @ 9:32 pm. Filed under Dear Diary, Economics, Politics

I’ll have to give credit to the folks at broadcastingcable.com for coming up with this catchy title for the article. I shamelessly plagiarised it but since I am giving them full credits for the title, I think its ok.

One should be very careful when messing with Letterman. Though not as visible as Oprah Winfrey, Letterman can be quite deadly with his sharp wit and sarcasm. And he doesn’t mince words when he is crossed.

So when McCain, the guying running to be the president of the US, snubs Letterman in the last minute, and that too using the economic crisis as an excuse, he is rightfully peeved. And when Letterman realised that McCain is infact in the same building taping an interview for his colleague, it must have driven him nuts. Its almost like being stood up by your date and then finding out that the date went out with your bestfriend. So, my man, Letterman just unloaded on him like a fully loaded semi. And it was damn funny too. The irony is that, by not showing up at the show, McCain caused such a stir in th media that Letterman’s ratings went up dramatically. And we know how letterman drags this on and on so that he can get free publicity in the newschannels. Nice going Dave!!

Govts intervening in “Free Markets”: banning short-selling

by @ 6:50 pm. Filed under Uncategorized

What is this ridiculous move from the exchanges world wide including Sydney,London and NY. Isn’t shorting an important machansim to keep the prices realistic. This is such BS that turned smart and savvy traders, that shorted the ill-fated financials, into overnight losers. The govts have messed up big time on this one, in my opinion.

Shorting has been one of my most favorite trades all along. When morons take stock prices to ridiculous valuations, a good hearted shortseller would bring it back to normal or reasonable values. Also, they provide a floor to the price when the shorts do their short-covering. Granted, there are some evil scumbags that resort to naked shorting and delieberately destroy good companies. But there are safeguards against it and when properly monitored, naked selling could be prevented.

This is a classic case of governement intervening for the wrong reasons. The funny thing is if they had show a fraction of this initiative when the banks were loaning of thousands of dollars to credit risky customers to buy homes, we would not have been in this mess to begin with.

Crude to the 70s, who is with me on this!!?

by @ 12:10 am. Filed under Dear Diary, Economics, Uncategorized

I am probably one of the very few people betting that crude oil will hit 75USD a barrel. Now, most of my stock market predictions( Read all) have come true, and this will too. But, cheap crude is still not going to be a rosy picture. Those of you that might think it would be cheaper to drive to work with crude at such a price: you may not have a job to goto. Reason: the above price would be a result of a massive slowdown of the world economy and a subsequent drop in fuel demand. With the financial stalwarts in the US popping like over inflated balloons and thousands of skilled employees in the west losing their jobs, it is only a matter of time before the biggest beneficiary of the outsourcing boom, India, to follow suit and shit the showers. India has aped the Americans in low cost lending and low-collateral debt for a over heated real estate market. Same is the case with China that relies on American demand for its most export oriented manufacturing economy. When the credit contagion starts rippling into these two giants, thats when the real shit happens. That’s when people start selling their cars and start walking again. And that’s when the demand for crude will hit a true bottom. This may seem like a dire scenaro that highly improbable, but mark my words, come summer of 09( may-june) crude will be in the mid 70s, if not lower.

Welcome back, Federer

by @ 6:13 pm. Filed under Sports, Uncategorized

“Comprehensive”, “Decimate”, “Destroy”,”imperious”, “rout”: these are some of the adjectives that could be used to describe Federer’s convincing US open win over Andy Murray and his triumphant return to No.1 in world rankings.
Murray has been very successful through out this tournament, but Federer managed to make short work of him. Not once during the short final was Murray remotely in control of the game. Murray’s inexperience and nerves perhaps had an effect on his game today, and Federer with his ususal machine-like precision destroyed him.

Its good to see my favourite sportsman in good form again, not that he has been in any abd form actually. He made the finals in three out of the four grand slam tournaments but lost to Nadal in the finals. Thankfully for him, the ugly monster didn’t make it to finals this time around.
I hope this win alone brings back Federer to the number one spot, he deserves it like no one else.
