I was at Coles supermarket last night and saw a whole army of workers stocking and restocking the aisles for the holidays. It made me realise that there is a whole section of people who are toiling very hard to keep the holidays go smoothly. May it be the hardworking shift workers at the local supermarket, or the policemen manning the streets and highways without taking a break, or the emergency room staff that work extra shifts, or the various public transport workers that keep us moving, there are countless groups of people that sacrifice their time with their families, so that we get to spend time with ours’. I don’t think they ever get the proper thanks they deserve from us, so here it is. A heartfelt thank you for all your efforts that keep things moving, and make holidays the joy filled events that they are.
